Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman are pleased to announce a 31-city First National Tour this fall of the hit Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET! – based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY® winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. The tour will celebrate its Grand Opening in the Estefans’ home city of Miami, Florida. The musical will play the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts from October 5–15, 2017, and continue to such cities as Orlando, Houston, Dallas, Baltimore and San Diego, with many others soon to be announced. This fall also marks the international premiere of ON YOUR FEET!, with a production of the musical opening at Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht, Netherlands on October 18.

As previously announced, Sunday in the Park with George will re-open the historic Hudson Theatre (139-141 West 44th Street) on Broadway this winter for a strictly limited 10-week engagement. Directed by Sarna Lapine, performances are set to begin Saturday, February 11, 2017, ahead of a Thursday, February 23rdOpening Night, and will play through Sunday, April 23rd.

Sondheim and Lapine’s masterpiece follows painter Georges Seurat (Jake Gyllenhaal) in the months leading up to the completion of his most famous painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. Consumed by his need to “finish the hat,” Seurat alienates the French bourgeoisie, spurns his fellow artists, and neglects his lover Dot (Annaleigh Ashford), not realizing that his actions will reverberate over the next 100 years.
The American Theatre Wing’s 71st Annual Tony Awards will return to the historic venue, Radio City Music Hall, airing live on Sunday, June 11, 2017, (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. The Tony Awards, which honors theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
The Tony Awards have a longstanding tradition of taking place at Radio City Music Hall, dating back to 1997. The show was held there every year until 2010 – except when the Hall underwent renovations in 1999 – and again from 2013 to 2015.
The official eligibility cut-off date for the 71st Annual Tony Awards will be April 27, 2017, for all Broadway productions opening in the 2016-2017 season. Productions which meet all other eligibility requirements and open on or before the eligibility date are considered eligible for 2017 Tony Award nominations.
The Nominations for the 2017 Tony Awards will be announced live on May 2, 2017, from New York City.

As previously announced, Andy Karl will star as Phil Connors in the Broadway production, following his celebrated performance in the show’s well-received London’s production at The Old Vic this summer.
