JERSEY BOYS - WINNER! 2006 TONY AWARD® BEST MUSICAL

JERSEY BOYS, written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff (700 Sundays, The Who's Tommy, Big River), began preview performances on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 and officially opened on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue, formerly the Virginia Theatre).

JERSEY BOYS is the winner of the 2006 Tony® Award for Best Musical and the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Recording. Other Tony Awards® include Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (John Lloyd Young), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Christian Hoff), and Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Howell Binkley). Drama Desk Awards for 2006 include Outstanding Actor in a Musical (John Lloyd Young) and Outstanding Sound Design (Steve Canyon Kennedy). Outer Critics Circle Awards for 2006 include Outstanding Broadway Musical, Outstanding Actor in a Musical (John Lloyd Young), and Outstanding Lighting Design (Howell Binkley). It also received the 2006 Drama League Award for Distinguished Production of Musical.

JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.

JERSEY BOYS is produced on Broadway by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner/ Osher/ Staton/ Bell/ Mayerson Group.

The JERSEY BOYS creative team includes book writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, composer Bob Gaudio, lyricist Bob Crewe, director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo.

The JERSEY BOYS design and production team includes Klara Zieglerova (Scenic Design), Tony Award® winner Jess Goldstein (Costume Design), Tony Award® winner Howell Binkley (Lighting Design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (Sound Design), Michael Clark (Projections Design), Charles LaPointe (Wig and Hair Design), Steve Orich (Orchestrations), Ron Melrose (Music Direction, Vocal Arrangements & Incidental Music).

JERSEY BOYS premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in 2004 and became the most successful production in the history of the playhouse, extending three times. The show opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005 and continues to set new weekly box office records, remaining among the five top grossing shows in New York. JERSEY BOYS is now playing in New York, Chicago, London and in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour. Upcoming productions include Las Vegas and Toronto.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of JERSEY BOYS, produced by Bob Gaudio, received the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). JERSEY BOYS: The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (Broadway Books) is the official handbook to the smash Broadway hit.

Tickets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays range in price from $97 to $117 (which includes a $2 facility fee). Tickets on Friday, Saturday & Sunday range in price from $97 to $122 (which includes a $2 facility fee). Subject to availability when the show is sold out, standing room tickets are available at the box office two hours prior to performance for $26.25.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

Tuesday evenings at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2pm, Sunday matinees at 3pm.
