The Broadway League, the national trade association for the Broadway and touring Broadway industry, released the statement below on the Broadway contract ratification by members of Local 802 American Federation of Musicians. The new contract will remain in effect through August 2028.
“We welcome the ratification of our Broadway contract by the members of Local 802. We have always valued the musicians employed on Broadway. We are deeply appreciative of our mediator, Javier Ramirez, for finding a path that both sides could endorse, avoiding a needless disruption of our industry,” said Jason Laks, President of The Broadway League.
